DNS Record Checker

A DNS Checker queries authoritative Domain Name System (DNS) servers and global recursive resolvers to inspect public records (such as A, AAAA, MX, TXT, CNAME, NS, and SOA) and verify whether recent DNS changes have propagated worldwide.

DNS propagation is the timeframe required for global DNS resolvers and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to update their cache with newly modified DNS records. Depending on your Time-To-Live (TTL) settings, propagation typically takes between 15 minutes to 24–48 hours.

MX records tell mail servers where to deliver your incoming email. TXT records such as SPF (Sender Policy Framework) and DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication) authenticate legitimate sending servers, preventing cybercriminals from spoofing your domain name in phishing attacks.

An A record directly points a domain name or subdomain to an IPv4 address (e.g. 192.0.2.1). A CNAME (Canonical Name) record aliases one domain name to another domain name (e.g. www.yourdomain.com pointing to yourdomain.com).

Our tool queries multiple major public recursive resolvers distributed across North America, Europe, Asia, and India in real time. If all resolvers return the same expected records, your domain has successfully propagated globally.

TTL stands for "Time-To-Live". It is a timer value in seconds that instructs intermediate DNS caches and recursive resolvers how long they may store a DNS record before querying authoritative nameservers for fresh updates.
